NoBet is a gambling recovery app built specifically for people who want to quit, not a generic mindfulness wrapper. The goal is to give someone the same kind of structured support a recovery program would, condensed into a phone they already carry.
What it does
- System-level blocking via Apple Family Controls so betting apps and sites are actually unreachable, not just hidden.
- Savings tracker that turns "money not gambled" into a running balance you can see grow day by day.
- Daily check-in and pledge to build a streak you do not want to break.
- AI coach for talking through urges in real time, including a panic / emergency button with grounding exercises.
- Brain rewiring tracker that maps the user's progress against the neuroscience-backed phases of recovery.
Why I built it
Gambling addiction is one of the harder addictions to address with apps because the trigger is often the phone itself. Most generic "stop gambling" apps treat it as a willpower problem; NoBet treats it as a system problem and tries to remove the option of relapsing on autopilot, then surrounds that with the support people actually use in recovery.
